The purpose of Cypress Woods Ladies Golf Association is to promote a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition centered on the game of golf. Our league seeks to encourage the social aspects of golf-related activities within our membership while fostering respect for players at all levels and building a greater understanding of and appreciation for the game of golf.
Membership in the CWLGA is available to all Members. Dues of $60.00 per year are due before your first day of play. You are eligible to join if you have an established handicap index. If you do not already have a handicap index, the staff in the Pro Shop will be happy to help you. League play is Tuesdays. There are weekly planned events, both individual and team. If you are interested in joining the league, please contact the Pro Shop at 239-592-7860.
Oct 3 | 2 Best Net Balls
Team event - Each player plays her own ball. At the end of each
hole add 2 best net balls, which is the team's score for the hole

Team event - 2 net balls on holes starting with T and F. 1 net ball
on remaining holes
Oct 17 | Strike Three
Individual flight event - Play your own ball. At the end of 18 holes
please throw out your 3 worst net holes. that is your score
Oct 24 | 3-2-1-3-2-1
Team event (net balls) - Starting with Hole 1, each team will play
3 best balls, then 2 best balls on Hole 2, and 1 best ball on Hole 3.
Repeat pattern for all 18 holes
Oct 31 | Las Vegas Scramble - Opening Day
Team event - shot gun and luncheon - Each player hits their
drive. Then throw the dice. If you land on 1 use A player's drive,
2-B player, 3-C player, 4-D player, 5&6 you choose the drive.

Individual flight event - Each player plays their own ball
1 point for bogey | 2 points for par | 4 points for birdie | 8 points
for eagle | 10 points for better than eagle. Please be sure to keep

partner event - play your own ball. Score is the best gross and
net ball of the partners per hole

Team event - 2 best net balls on odd holes. 1 best net ball on
even holes

Team event - best ball format played by Stableford points
Holes 1-6: 1 best score
Holes 7-12: 2 bst scores

Team event - 2 best net balls on all par 4's. 1 best net ball on
remaining holes
Dec 12 | Holiday Tournament - Shot Gun and Luncheon
4 person scramble. Pick your own team. Luncheon to follow. We
will be collecting gift cards for employees' kids. If you would like
to contribute, $15 gift cards to Walmart or Target would be
appreciated. You may give more than one

Individual event - gross and net tournament. Play your first
round, keep gross and net scores
Jan 9 | Ringer Tournament
Individual event - Play your second round. If you score better on
any of the holes you may change your scores to better scores.
That will be your score for the game. If you can only play one
day, that will be your score. Please keep your scores for both
days for posting
Jan 15 | Cocktail Party for Solheim Cup
Jan 16 | Solheim Cup - Shot Gun and Luncheon
Red vs Blue - Holes 1-9 match play. Holes 10-18 shamble (each
partner hits drive; select best drive. each player plays their own
ball in. 1 best net ball is your score).
1 point for front | 1 point for back | 1 point for overall
If team wins both sides they get a point; if team wins a side they
each get 1/2 a point
Jan 23 | Hurdle - Late Start
Individual event - Each player has a number of points to score to
clear their hurdle. Persons with higher handicaps need less points
to clear their hurdles; those with lower handicaps will need more
points. Once you clear your hurdle keep adding positive points.
